Who am I and why did I start this?
Hey y'all, my name is Luke and I’ve been the product leader for data at SoFi for the last several years. I’m very passionate about the intersection of data and product management. I believe that the future of many software products will leverage data more and more. Learning how to integrate data into product management practices beyond analytics and A/B testing will separate good product leaders from great ones.
A little about me… I moved to San Francisco in 2014 to transition my career into tech and product management. When I arrived, I started off leading product and analytics for an e-commerce tech startup. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure to be a PM for startups as small as 30 and as big as 3,000. Across all my product roles, I’ve gotten the chance to work closely with data. This has included things like data collection, Machine Learning, big data technologies, and helping data come alive for consumers.
I started this blog to share some learnings from our data product management journey to inspire and encourage our community as data becomes more important across the industry. Excited to write about my journey and learnings and to connect with all of you!
